Louise Ruelland is a Self-Taught artist based in Canada.
She began painting in 1977. Her work incorporates abstraction, realism and impressionism. She is known for her vibrant landscapes done in her unique oil colour and spatula technique. She explains, “Through the spontaneity of the strokes, I let the inspiration flow to reach love in my soul”.
Louise has had many solo exhibitions and her work is represented in galleries in Canada and the US. She has also participated in numerous art shows and happenings since 1977.
Louise currently gives workshops and demonstrations in spatula painting across Canada, to various associations and art organizations.
In 2003 Louise curated an international exhibition of Sahaja Yoga artists in Canajoharie, USA.
